HTML (the Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are two of the core technologies for building Web pages. HTML provides the structure of the page, CSS the (visual and aural) layout, for a variety of devices. Along with graphics and scripting, HTML and CSS are the basis of building Web pages and Web Applications. Students will dive head-first into HTML and CSS, skill up with live coding exercises, and by the end of the course students will have a working web page to call your own.

1) Basics of the internet and how webpages work
2) Syntax of HTML and CSS
3) Building common types of websites including landing pages and marketing sites
4) Principles of front-end code organization and project structure
5) How to get your website live on the internet
6) Build a basic web page from scratch, and more
